MediaOne is HDTV-ready for Prime Time

MediaOne, the leading media infrastructure and services provider for broadcasters and enterprises has installed and configured a HDTV satellite receiver – enabling downlink via satellite of network signals from PBS, ABC, CBS, and HDNet.

MediaOne has recently entered into an agreement with a Japanese client to originate HDTV content from Pacific Bell Park in San Francisco, and soon, other venues as well. MediaOne assisted ESPN to broadcast one of the first MLB games broadcast in HDTV for Sunday Night Baseball from Pacific Bell Park.

This service includes both hosting the HDTV equipment and providing digital fiber from our facility. This equipment is available for any other clients for any other clients for origination of HDTV content. MediaOne is moving forward to buy new equipment that is HDTV compatible such as Pinnacle Video Server for MCR.

MediaOne is ready to grow as the HDTV market expands.
